On November 21st the OCM lab collaborated with the organization of the first Complex Energy Systems Workshop organized by the Complex Engineering Systems Institute (ISCI) at the Center for Innovation of the Catholic University. We were joined by more than 60 members of industry, academy and regulatory agencies to discuss current and future power grid operational issues.
Both international and national speakers presented their vision of what future grids would look like, along with innovative ideas such as contingent coordinated trading in electricity markets, sharing economy in the electric grid, distributed energy resources impact and co-optimization of demand response and reserve offers. The OCM Faculty members gave talks along with other distinguished guests.
Our invited international speakers included
